Unembeza opened its doors in July 2016 with 12 beds and 5 staff members. Extreme dedication, unbelievable staff and our amazing food made Unembeza the most talked about new lodge in Hoedspruit. Due to increased demand for availability we expanded with a Private Family Villa in April 2017, our Deluxe Garden Suites in September 2017, Villa Mbali in August 2018 and most recently the stunning Mhlabeni Boutique Villa. We are proud to say that we now employ 55 staff members and our lodge can sleep a maximum of 55 guests. In their efforts to reduce the carbon footprint and to make sure there is always backup electricity, Unembeza Lodge has installed solar panels with battery backup.
