Our journey began in March 1993 when our parents closed their small shop and started building what would become our family’s beachfront accommodation at beautiful Lalomanu Beach, Samoa. At the time, the area was unused and filled with rubbish, but with determination, faith, and the help of their children, they worked tirelessly to clean the land and build the first traditional beach fales. Rain or shine, they continued working toward their dream. Their vision was simple — to create a welcoming place where visitors from around the world could experience the beauty, peace, and hospitality of Samoa while enjoying the breathtaking views of Lalomanu Beach. At the same time, they hoped to build a future for their children and support their church and village community. The early days were not easy. Our parents often slept under a small cave near the beach while building the property. A hidden cave discovered during the cleanup became their kitchen and sleeping area. Despite the challenges, they embraced the journey with hope and gratitude, believing strongly that “where there is a will, there is a way” and that “nothing is impossible with God. ” Over the years, their dream continued to grow. Today, the property features enclosed beach bungalows with verandas, a beach bar, and a restaurant — all built on the foundations of love, faith, hard work, and family values. Although our beloved parents have since gained their angel wings, their legacy lives on through us, their children and grandchildren, as we continue to manage and care for the family business they created with so much love and sacrifice.
